The course follows Waiheke's walkway network along the southern coast of the island, through countless bays and bush reserves.

We think it’s the best way to see Waiheke and the Hauraki Gulf. Run through Forest and Bird reserves. past million dollar coastal homes, alongside vineyards and into secluded bays.

Every gut-busting climb is rewarded with views across the gulf to Rangitoto, Motuihe or Maraetai.

The finish line is in the busy tourist village of Oneroa, making it easy to add a visit to the beach, a cafe or one of our world-class vineyards.

As a C.S. Lewis book character once said,
"
If one could run without getting tired I don't think one would often want to do anything else."
